Explore Cove’s Services

Cove is excited to offer a wide range of individualized services with a registered speech-language pathologist.

Cove focuses on, but is not limited to, the following domains:

What We Offer

  • An individuals use of words, gestures, signs, or AAC to share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings.

  • An individual's understanding of language. It includes following directions, answering questions, recognizing vocabulary, and understanding stories or conversations

  • How we use language to connect with others. It includes things like taking turns in conversation, staying on topic, and understanding body language and social cues.

  • How we make sounds and words with our oral mechanisms. It includes pronunciation (articulation), how fluently we speak, and the quality of our voice. We may address articulation errors, phonological processes, or motor speech errors.

  • Includes any tools or strategies that help someone communicate, when speaking alone cannot meet all needs. This could be using pictures, sign language, communication devices, or even a simple choice board.

  • Literacy is the ability to read, write, and understand written language. Pre-literacy includes the early building blocks for reading and writing, like recognizing sounds in words, enjoying books, and understanding that print carries meaning.
